at least for me, the free AI tools/sites/bots arent worth it. 3-5seconds long artificial looking fakes dont do it for me. i honestly would rather take a properly done oldschool deepfake from Mrdeepfakes site (when it was still running). i have entire archives of the old deepfakers (MrBabe, TMBDF etc).
the old deepfakes often feel more authentic and real to me than short clips from free sites.
i will make the exception with state-of-the-art AI fakes that have been shared with me privately. they even nail the voice perfectly (cloned) and look extremely real and high definition. all done with custom tools privately.

The ones I have seen are basically 1:1 voice and face clones. its really high definition stuff and around 40-60seconds long. the surprising thing is this is all done with consumer rigs so it is not OpenAI's SORA running on some 50k datacenter rigs. i admit i havent kept up with what the commercial sites including openAI "can" or "want" do these days in regards to video generation. i dont give much attention to them due to the restrictions and censorship (which doesnt mean that i find it good what Musks Grok has been doing, where any noob could just create UA deepfakes/undress).

the "classic" deepfakes from MrDeepfakes (faceswap app etc) can and did look really goood at times. (i still have many Anya TaylorJoy, Anne hathaway, emma watson ones etc) but the voice thing was often an issue for me: when the pornstar talks or makes noises that didnt match the celebrity at all).
